Artemis Collaborative promotes land stewardship through indigenous agronomic and agroforestry practices while preserving fragile ecosystems and the habitats upon which wildlife depends. Through sustainable practices in agriculture, land management, and building design, we steward a space where nature and creativity thrive.
Our robust schedule of ecological tours and workshops align with the natural cycles of local flora and fauna. The calendar below highlights key seasonal opportunities—daytime and nighttime, rain or shine—to engage visitors in learning, exploration, and ecological stewardship. Each season’s activities are organized around weather conditions, wildlife behaviors, and plant life cycles.
Most of our programs are offered either free or discounted for members. Otherwise a modest program donation of $20 for adults and $10 for students or seniors is payable the day of the event or workshop, except where noted.

Weekly Walking Tours
We offer guided tours of the 130 acres of wooded preserve that explore the farm’s diverse ecosystems. Seasonal hikes focused on activities like edible mushroom habitat enhancement and foraging, birdwatching, and spring salamander migrations. These hikes provide participants with hands-on learning about the local environment while fostering an appreciation for ecological balance and sustainability. Sign up for one of the weekly tours.

Blessing & Planting of the Seedlings
Planting season gets underway and Artemis invites you to be part of it all. Come help get our community garden ready for planting. You will learn about regenerative farming practices, soil preparation, and the ancient ways of the Leni Lanape Indians who were the first inhabitants and farmers of this area. Together we will bring for the spirits with music, entertainment and native blessings to insure a good and bountiful growing season.

Pollinator Gardens
Workshops will guide participants in designing and maintaining pollinator-friendly gardens using native plants. Classes will focus on creating habitats that attract and support the existence of honeybees (European), native bees and wasps, butterflies, moths, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. Attendees will also learn about the ecological importance of pollinators, strategies to increase biodiversity, and how to design gardens suited to small spaces or urban environments.

Creepy Crawly Creatures Kids Class
Interactive classes will introduce participants to the fascinating world of insects, arachnids, amphibians and other invertebrates. Programs will include nighttime insect walks, identifying pollinators in the garden, and exploring the role of "creepy crawlies" in healthy ecosystems. Children’s events may include fun, interactive activities like creating insect hotels or observing macroinvertebrates in nearby streams.
